If you are visiting Ontario on business or just travelling through Ontario, stay at a hotel, motel or Bed and Breakfast. During your stay, enjoy the natural environment that make Ontario one of the most picturesque regions of Canada. Take in some swimming at the beach or just laze around under the warm sun on a gorgeous summer day. Ontario Lodges offer a variety of lodging packages. Resorts and lodges offer either "American Plan" inclusive packages - which also incorporate your meals - or "Housekeeping" cabins - where you are renting a equipped cabin for the extent of your vacation and you do all the cooking. Some places offer both opportunities; please contact the resort for more information. Distinctive to Canada is the fly-in fishing experience. When you fly-in you step aboard a float plane and fly into a secluded lake where very often, your cabin is the only place on the lake. Really getting away from it all! Outposts are normally more rustic than regular facilities but can include hot and cold running water, outdoor toilets, and stoves and fridges. Many of the newer outposts can be solar powered with a generator back-up systems. You usually have to bring in your own food and cook all meals yourself.
